OCEAN
Yogalution Movement Peace Ambassador
Sometime around 2013, when Ocean was in the military, he discovered yoga by chance and was immediately absorbed in the beautiful poses the body could manufacture. This obsession didn't last long when an injury hit him, causing his yoga practice to space out to just a few times per year up until August 2022. It was then that Ocean found himself acquainted with yoga again, but in a different form. Not the asanas, but bhakti yoga ā€“ the yoga of devotion, the yoga of love for the divine, Krishna, or God. This new yoga practice opened the door to understanding and the study philosophy like the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, Nectar of Instruction, Yoga Sutras, and Hatha Yoga Pradipika just to name a few. The world of yoga took on a brand new look for Ocean.
By January 2023, Ocean had established a daily yoga practice. This practice allowed him to become more consciously aware and work through past traumas, anger, and other experiences in life that caused emotional distress or misunderstanding. Through this journey, he has and still is developing deeper characteristics of love, compassion, humility, tolerance, contentment, and patience, to name a few.
Ocean's journey didn't just stop with personal transformation. He felt a deep yearning to share his experiences, reflections, and practice with others in the hope that they too could benefit from yoga. He believes that yoga is not just about the physical aspect but also about the mental and spiritual aspects. Ocean is convinced that we, as humans, have forgotten our natural state as loving beings. He passionately believes that the practice of yoga can reconnect us with our true nature, bringing this connection back to the center and into our awareness.
He envisions a world where more people engage with yoga on a deeper level, beyond just the physical poses. Ocean believes that this deeper engagement with yoga can help individuals heal, grow, and rediscover their inherent capacity for love and compassion. Through sharing his journey and the wisdom he has gained, Ocean hopes to inspire others to embark on their own transformative journeys with yoga, ultimately contributing to a more loving and connected world.
